Natural Cleaning Products
I have compiled this page based on the questions I get asked the most often.
Why natural cleaning?
Natural cleaning ingredients have been around since the earth was created. They do not damage the environment or peoples health. Using natural also strengthens our natural immune systems, has health benefits and does the job as well as commercial cleaners.
How long have you been using your products?
I first 'dabbled' with them 12 years ago, I started with the surface spray and have adapted products along the way. I fully switched over 2 years ago when I couldn't find a suitable washing powder for my Autistic daughters' needs, after making my own powder, I switched back to natural. The range that I sell is what I use in my own home.Essentially I have made them for myself.
What the benefits have been for you?
I have found many benefits, some have been very surprising! since fully switching over myself and my daughter have rarely been ill. Even though Ants nest in my walls, I only ever get a few in my home. I have noticed I get fewer flys in my home as well. My daughter no longer needs her Inhaler, we both cough and sneeze in the cleaning section of the supermarkets, I feel my home is cleaner because no smells are masked and can be sourced and dealt with straight away. Our clothes etc are softer and last longer. My washing machine is more effecient ( apparently this is because there is no build up) and I have used the lemon cleaning spray for a wasp sting!!
Why did I start?
I have to be honest and say that 12 years ago when I ws studying, I was skint! It was to save money. Then 2 years ago after noticing the effects of the washing powder on my daughter (it's a long story) I made my own and became very aware of what was in the products I was using and the damage they were causing. It scared me , and I reverted back to natural. Would I change back?...no, never.
How have your products been tested?
I use them myself, members of my family use them and are very honest with what they think about them as well, if someone asks me for a new product, if I can, I make it and ask them to test it. If the tester doesn't like it and I don't like it, I don't sell it. Simple.
Surely they don't work as well as ordinary cleaning products?
I have often asked myself this question! Am I biased because I make them? etc...well, customers keep coming back and telling me they are (and in some cases better...the wood polish for example) Who am I to argue with my customers?
What ingredients do you use?
Please note:Not all ingredients are in all products!
Oranges, Lemons, Limes (yes, real ones!) Vinegar, Water, Bees wax, Raw Linseed Oil, Borax, Washing Soda, Bi Carbonate, Salt, Citric Acid.
(not a good idea to ingest borax or washing soda!!)
Eucalyptus, Cedarwood, Tea tree, Rosemary, Lavender, May Chang.
(not good idea that you ingest these either!!)
